Midwest folk-rockers, Drew LaPlante & The Prosperity burst onto the scene recently playing their debut show at Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati. Though the band may be newly formed, the spirit has been evolving for some time. drew laplante hails from the elemental territory of Northeast Ohio, Perry to be exact. As eldest of five kids, his music reflects an adolescent life filled with learning experiences and being surrounded by love. Full of purpose and soulful, he writes and performs songs that speak to the human condition, and the universal mission of love. Upbeat, positive, clear-eyed, and embracing – drew’ lyrics are deep & insightful and based on his altruistic observations of humanity’s current position but no folk singer is complete without stories of lost loves, beautiful friendships, and spiritual perspectives of life.
