Receptor Records Jungle HQ

New Digs, New Energy

Hola! It’s been a long time coming, and at moments we weren’t sure ourselves if we’d ever make it, but we have arrived at our jungle headquarters somewhere in Central America. We’re still stretching our legs and plugging everything in, but there’s been a flurry of recent activity — including launching a new travel blog at BarefootTroubadour.com, bringing all of our artists’ websites under one umbrella and updating DrewLaPlante.com to get ready to simultaneously release three live albums that kick off a new daily song release effort to run through December.

We’re very thankful for everyone that has stuck by us and supported us. Now it’s time to begin rewarding your support and patience. Stay tuned…

On a particularly buzzed up and beautiful evening, Drew LaPlante grabbed a guitar, camera, Natalie Lynn and videographer friend, Alex Mooney and headed down to the flat rocks on the shore of South Bass Island to make some music in the setting sunshine. After a bit of video editing and brushing up the audio, we’re excited to share the end result: this new music video featuring a live performance of one of Drew’s original folk tunes, “Give ‘Til It’s Gone.”

Hola Amigos! Drew here, with Michael and traveling throughout Costa Rica for two months. Searching for inspiration and a massive change of pace. We’ll be backpacking about for another two weeks or so then settling in to write and record a new, hopefully full-length album. We also hope to finalize a few live recordings canned back in the states. So much music to share, keep in touch!

Paz,
Drew
